The attacks on innocent people and worshipers in Sri Lanka was an attack on all of humanity that must be condemned. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, friends and congregations during this difficult time.
Regardless of religious affiliation, attacks on any place of worship represent the worst of humanity. The right to pray and practice one's religion is a fundamental human right that ought not to be disturbed by violence or terrorism. The fact that this attack happened in a Church on Easter Sunday makes it even more heinous and worthy of condemnation.
London's Muslim Community stands united and in solidarity with the victims as they mourn this terrible act. The forces of hate must never be allowed to sow divisions among us and should know and learn that such acts will only serve to bring us closer together.
